To overcome this limitations, manufacturers of the outdoor wireless security camera came up with the 5.80 GHz frequency devices. This frequency, as of now, is reasonably clean. The main disadvantage is that signal penetration through walls is very low. This can be resolved by using high quality antennae on the devices and more powerful transmitters and receivers.
So now you have three varieties of cameras to choose from. To make matters a little bit more complicated there is the "lux" ratings; a form of light measurement. By definition, the lux number is the amount of light that is needed by a camera to operate properly, i.e., to capture images properly. Obviously, the lesser the number, the lower the requirement of light for the camera to operate and will also depend on the location of the camera.
As such depending on the purpose of the camera and its location, you have to decide on which frequency it is going to operate and its lux rating. Another criteria that will influence your decision is the distance the images are going to be transmitted. Proper research is required to come to a judicial combination of these factors before the purchase of an outdoor wireless security camera that is going to protect either your home or your business.
